What customers say?

“ Should be blah trap, right on the plaza, but this place is amazing. All the stone plates and bowls, stone cooked tenderloin, alpaca and trout served sizzling at the table... even the fries are fantastic. Then add the view and this "tourist" spot shines through. Our second time, why risk a good thing?? ”

“ We were hungry for a late lunch after an overnight bus and looked everywhere, the man seemed nice so we gave it a go. The pisco sours were really good, a great way to start our stay in Ollantaytambo.I had the trout cebiche. Large serve, really fresh and flavourful- yum. My wife had a quinua soup which was just what she needed too. Nice place to sit and watch people too. ”

- Derek Matthewman -

“ Atmosphere: Quite pleasant, with rustic architecture and Cusco-style instrumental music. Service: The waitresses are quite friendly and attentive. The kitchen can take a while to prepare the food. (My wait time was 20-30 minutes.) Price: The menu cost 15 soles, however, they charge a 5% surcharge for using a VISA card (they shouldn't do that). Quality: While the portions are average, the flavor is exquisite. Quite homey, in my opinion, the seasoning of the meats and soups is on point. However, the rice was disappointing, bland and tough. Hygiene: Clean bathrooms, clean tables, and most importantly, a clean kitchen. Although I would recommend that the kitchen staff wear hairnets. P.S.: There's a nice view of the plaza. ”

“ We had the tourist menu for 15 soles. Good food at a low price. We ate on the first-floor balcony and the view is very nice. The service is basic, nothing special, but overall it does the job. ”

- Federico Schtre -

“ The truth is, I've been very relaxed; a place to eat well with great views. Delicious chicken stir-fry. ”

- Juan Jose Garrido -

“ The place is super cool, the staff are friendly, and it has a view of the mountains and ruins! The breakfast (American style) is AMAZING!! Everything is very fresh and tasty (the bread is delicious!), we ordered an extra fruit salad, made to order with great fruit (a very large portion, my boyfriend and I easily shared it). We went back for lunch and ordered the special menu... The mushroom cream soup was great and the Bolognese pasta was also super tasty with lots of sauce and Parmesan cheese on top!! I highly recommend it!! Thank you girls from Kaypacha! We will return! ”
